The Company: All Tribes Christian Camp is dedicated to introducing children, young people and adults to the goodness of Jesus Christ using camps, retreats and events. We do this by giving our campers opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, embrace new experiences and make lasting friendships. The Position: We’re hiring Summer Program Assistants!
Applicants must be available for work in May and June, and for full time work from July 1st- August 31st. It is preferable for applicants to be available for occasional work in September as well.
These positions are supported positions that require the applicants to fundraise. The directors will work along side the summer staff to guide them in this process. Please inquire for more information on support raising.
A successful applicant:
Is an Evangelical Christian who is in agreement with our statement of faith and beliefs
Is at least 16 years of age (if younger, please inquire by email to info@alltribes.org)
Is an energetic, motivated young individual with a positive attitude and strong communication skills
Shows an elevated level of responsibility, professionalism, leadership competence and a desire to learn
Is safety conscious and works efficiently in a team environment
Responsibilities:
Complete mandatory spring training and high ropes certification
Greeting and hosting rental groups, families and campers
Facilitate leadership training and team building exercises with an advanced level of professionalism in accordance with the training received
Assist with the planning and implementation of summer camp programming
House keeping duties including, but not limited to, cleaning and maintaining facilities, collecting and removing garbages and assisting with food prep
Property maintenance including, but not limited to, lawn care, trail clearing, etc.
Training
Various aspects of this position will require special training. All training will be provided onsite throughout the duration of the contract, with a mandatory training session in May (date to be determined). Successful completion of required training is mandatory for ongoing employment.
The Location: All Tribes Christian Camp is located on the beautiful St. Joseph Island in Northern Ontario. This small island, surrounded by beautiful views, great community amazing outdoor adventure locations, is only a short drive away from Sault Ste Marie, ON.
