The Board of Directors guide our organization, develop policy to ensure wise use of resources, and serve as community cheerleaders for Camp.

With responsibility for the management, operations, assets, and compliance with applicable regulations, each member of our Board of Directors serve important and varied roles in leading Camp today and planning for Camp tomorrow.

Beginning in 2008, the Board of Directors conducted a review of our present facilities. The Capital Development Plan has since resulted in the addition of new facilities including our new gymnasium/recreation centre and camper cabins, all built debt-free. In 2014, All Tribes began an operational review and ten-year strategic planning process, and this plan was finalized and approved officially in 2015.

The Board at Work

The Board at Work

Each member of our Board of Directors offers particular insight, advice, and expertise to our organization. Many members have participated in Camp as campers over the years, others have kids who have been or are campers now, and all generously give of their time and talents as volunteers.

The Board meets twice each year in person, and conducts other business throughout the year by e-mail or teleconference, in addition to specific committee meetings.

Millie Jacobs Troyer, Founder

Millie IS All Tribes Camp! Originally All Tribes was locally known as "Millie's Camp". In 1963, she purchased the camp property and ran the first week of camp. Millie worked as Alumni Director for Marion College, and later in life, married Richard (Dick) Troyer. Together they developed and managed All Tribes Camp until the turn of the century. Millie is a wonderful individual who truly loves people and is loved by many. Still spending most of her summer either tent camping or at All Tribes, she is an active and visionary member of the camp family and continues to serve as a member of the Board. More information on Millie and her life is available here. Millie also published an autobiographical book chronicling her extraordinary life and the establishment of All Tribes Camp titled Look To This Day For It Is Life. Millie has confronted every challenge as an opportunity, respected every dream as something worth exploring, and lives her life in constant awareness that a God-directed life has purpose and impact. Her book is frank, touching, funny, and as unique and authentic as its author. You can order a copy of her book by contacting us.
