CORE Leadership Info and Application

This position is for college-aged followers of Jesus that want to use their time and energy to serve at a camp committed to making disciples of Jesus Christ. Serving as CORE Leadership at All Tribes Christian Camp means spending your summer helping kids and youth grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus. You will use your gifts and strengths to help run the various aspects of camp, and as you are personally challenged to grow, you will use what you learn to give back and impact the kids and youth that you get the opportunity to lead.

Within CORE Leadership there are a few different jobs. They are as follows;

  • Program Coordinator(s) - With the guidance of the directors, you will help plan, schedule, and implement the program during the various camps. Having a balance of being highly organized and highly energized is optimal for this role. Often this role requires two different people that can compliment eachother’s strengths.

  • Adventure Coordinator - This position would involve facilitating the High Ropes course with the ability to plan and coordinate outdoor, adventure based learning. This person will oversee other High Ropes staff. With in-house training provided, High Ropes experience is preferred but not necessary. The person in this position will also assist the Program Coordinator as needed.

Training

Various aspects of this position will require special training. All training will be provided onsite throughout the duration of the contract, with a mandatory High Ropes training session on May 29th and 30th

Schedule

Applicant should be available for work starting the week of May 18th until the end of August. An earlier start date is possible.

Dates

  • May - Guest group rentals as needed

  • May 29th-30th - High Ropes Training (Required for all staff that will be facilitating High Ropes throughout the summer)

  • June - School day trips, High Ropes rentals, Guest group rentals as required, program planning

  • July 3rd-5th - Overnight Staff Training Weekend

  • July 7th-10th - Prep for Sports Camp/Program Planning for The ROCK’s

  • July 13th-17th - Sports Day Camp

  • July 20th - 24th - VBS Prep week

  • July 27th - 31st - VBS Day Camp

  • August 1st - 4th - Time Off

  • August 5th - 7th - Prep for The ROCK’s

  • August 10th - 15th - JROCK Overnight Camp

  • August 17th - 21st - Mini-ROCK Overnight Camp

  • August 21st - 22nd - Free Overnight Staff Party - Supper and Breakfast provided (For all staff that worked/Will work at overnight camps in 2026)

  • August 22nd - Last day of employment for 2026

  • August 24th - 29th - The ROCK (CORE Staff as campers)

A successful applicant:

  • Is an Evangelical Christian who is in agreement with One Hope Canada’s articles of faith and doctrine

  • Is at least 18 years of age by December 31st, 2026

  • Is an energetic, motivated individual with a positive attitude and strong communication skills

  • Shows an elevated level of responsibility, professionalism, leadership competence and a desire to learn

  • Can follow instructions and respect other team members

  • Is safety conscious and works efficiently in a team environment

  • Enjoys working with children and youth

Additional qualifications that would be considered assets when considering applicants:

  • NLS or Bronze Cross Lifeguarding Certification

  • High Ropes Level 1 or 2 (or equivalent experience)

  • Plays a musical instrument/can lead worship

  • Standard First Aid and CPR

  • Skills in drama and acting

Responsibilities:

  • Complete mandatory spring training and high ropes certification

  • Greeting and hosting rental groups, families and campers

  • Facilitate leadership training and team building exercises with an advanced level of professionalism in accordance with the training received

  • Assist with the planning and implementation of summer camp programming

  • House keeping duties including, but not limited to, cleaning and maintaining facilities, collecting and removing garbage and assisting with food prep

  • Property maintenance including, but not limited to, lawn care, trail clearing, etc.

  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director
