Our Management Team does the "work" of camp ensuring All Tribes offers the absolute best experience possible for every camper and family.
Beginning in 2011, the Camp Board approved a new organizational plan that allows for the many responsibilities involved in operating camp to be shared amongst a group of committed volunteers who together oversee and coordinate their areas of responsibility.
Jake and Shawna-Lee Stubbe
Jake and Shawna-Lee (Sullivan) actually live at All Tribes year round and do amazing work in preparing the grounds, cleaning the buildings and cabins, managing our water system, repairing equipment, planting flowers, and maintaining our facilities. Jake and Shawna-Lee, along with their dog Daisy, are usually the first folks to welcome you when you arrive at camp. Jake works as a geothermal and heating technician (and can fix literally anything!), and Shawna-Lee is an Educational Assistant with the Algoma District School Board. Remember, they are always looking for more volunteers to help with leaf raking, cleaning, grass cutting, and other miscellaneous jobs! Resumes are welcomed!
Administrative Manager & Registrar
Dawn does a great job processing camp registrations, making bank deposits, sending thank you notes, managing our database, tracking donations, and mailing out our brochures. All three of Dawn's children attended camp growing up, and her daughter Marsena has served as counselor and summer program director at All Tribes. Dawn's work as our Camp Registrar is no small job and, working with our Treasurer, she also makes sure each charitable gift is acknowledged and receipted. Her attention to detail and faithful dedication over the years is a true blessing. Dawn works at Kentvale Merchants as her "day job".
Food Services Manager
If you have never eaten Janine's cooking before, then please come to camp as soon as possible. If you have, you know that All Tribes has the best camp food ever! Because our camp is like one big family (albeit a pretty big family!), our food is also home-cooked and absolutely delicious! Janine adds loving care and her special touch to every recipe, whether that be a roast beef dinner, homemade soup, or her famous chocolate eclairs. Cooking for a group of 40-60 hungry campers and staff for an entire week is not an easy task, but Janine, along with her team of volunteers, takes it on with joy and care for each camper's individual needs. Janine plans the menus, recruits and coordinates cooks, purchases the food, and somehow still makes sure meals are ready on time! She can also provide food services for rental groups and events upon request.
Bernie is known around camp as "Uncle Bern". He does a bit of just about everything. He is a skilled carpenter and millwright. He has built flowerbeds, repaired the Sports Shed, installed trim and doors, helped build buildings, builds VBS skit props, and also created "Bernie's Beach". Bern takes care of many odd jobs around the camp property, and he is always ready and willing whenever his daughter Marney calls with her next special project! He loves the Lord, his wife Janine, their 4 kids, and all 8 grandkids! Bern is a retired millwright from Algoma Steel, and recently retired a second time from Kentvale Merchants.
