Well, we have been in 2011 now for a whole month but Jonathan and I are not really sure where January went! It has been an eventful month filled with supply teaching for me and various meetings and Real Estate work for Jonathan. I'm always amazed to see how much time goes by between posts here on our Camp News portion of the website. It's certainly not because there is no news to share! My goal today is to complete some updates on here and let you all know what is new in the world of All Tribes Camp!
One of the biggest changes the Lord has led us to make this year has been to set up a new organizational structure for the Camp ministry. We have identified four new positions that will oversee the following four areas of Camp operations: Food Service Manager, Administrative Manager, Facility Manager, and Summer Program Director. The Lord has already brought Janine Nadjiwon to fill the Food Services position, Dawn Henderson to fill the Administrative position and Marsena Henderson to fill the Summer Program Director's position. Praise the Lord! We are still trusting the Lord to bring the right couple to serve as Facility Managers.
I recently picked up the VBS Kit for 2011 at The Scripture Gift and Book Store and I'm very excited to get into it and really check out all the fun things that make up "SonSurf Beach Bash", which is the theme for this year! It's nice to dream of summer, warm weather, and beach fun during the middle of winter and this theme sure lets me do that!
We have decided to run fewer events at the Camp this year as we transition into the new organizational structure. VBS will run from July 25-29, J-ROCK will be August 7-13, and The ROCK will run from August 21-27. Discipleship Days and the Fall Family Film Nights are back again this year! The Men's Discipleship Day will be on Saturday September 10 and the Women's Discipleship Day will be the week after on Saturday September 17. The two Film Nights will be back to back on Saturday Septmber 24 and Saturday October 1. We'll also have our annual Yard and Bake Sale again this year. The dates for that event will be June 11 and 18. Lots of fun and excitement in store for 2011!
We appreciate all of your prayers and support and ask for your continued prayers and suppport in the year ahead!
All Tribes Christian Camp is buzzing with preparation for another great season! The 2010 Brochure has been created and will be sent to the printing company very soon! We want to say a big thank-you to Alicesa LaRocque for designing our Brochure this year. GREAT JOB ALICESA!
We are also in the process of booking church presentations. We are very excited about what the Lord is doing at the Camp and we look forward to sharing an update with our various church families!
Even though the snow is still on the ground Jonathand and Marney are dreaming of warm weather and having the Camp alive with staff and campers! We had some friends from Indiana Wesleyan University stay at the Camp during the month of January and really enjoyed the activity, and some rather late nights of playing games, happening here at Camp!
As was mentioned earlier, the Camp is buzzing with preparation for the upcoming season. The plans for our new multi-purpose building are in the works and we are thrilled with how the Lord has already been providing! Also, we are getting summer staff (counselors, cooks, worship teams, speakers) lined up! We are so blessed here at All Tribes with Godly, dedicated, and fun staff. Thank you everyone for all your help!
