The History of the Bible
January 19, 2008
Mighty interesting stuff I have found out about the Bible today...and thought I would share it with you too. Alana asked at Young Peoples last night about how the Bible was put together, and who kind of decided what went into the Bible, and what didn't, if you know what I mean. Of course, God is really the one who decided, because He inspired His Word in all of the writers, and if God didn't want something in His message to all humans, He can and would make sure it doesn't get included. It is amazing how the Bible has survived though everything else goes away. For me, that says a lot about it. But as we were discussing last night, I think that we only really find out how true the Bible is once we "go off the edge" and determine to trust it fully. Kind of reminds me of the verse from the hymn "Like a River Glorious". It goes like this "Those who trust Him wholly, find Him wholly true." I have always loved those words and I can tell you in my life, I have found them to be true. I guess not really the words are true, but the God behind the words is True. And Faithful. And Kind. And Loving.

All Tribes Camp Website is Live!
January 19, 2008
Hey this is an exciting day! It is the night before our first church presentation over at the Free Methodist Church on St. Joseph Island and tonight, our new version of the All Tribes site went live, for real on the internet! Hey I just wanted to also say a special thanks to Rodney Gill, the legend who has hosted and kept the technical side of our website going for so long, and also thanks to Mark Morrison over at AdvancedMinistry.com.
So Marney and I have been busy working getting everything together for our church presentations, and it looks like it is all coming together. I just have to go over our remarks once more tonight, and then we will see how it goes! Marney is an incredible partner for me in the Lord's work, and I just love her more everyday.
God is doing something special in all this I believe, and we are so excited to be beginning this new stage of our lives. It is amazing sometimes to sit back and think about how God leads a person. Sometimes, it doesn't make sense, other times it does! But in both cases, our God is still in control, no matter how we feel. I am glad I serve Him, and even happier to love Him! He is a great God and so very kind, patient, strong, and loving.
Well, all that to say "I hope you enjoy the new site!" As soon as we get the new brochure done for 2008, we will have that posted on here, too. Any maybe we will even have online registration for all of you in 2009.
